Overview
The Department of Electrical Engineering provides a strong foundation in electrical systems, preparing students for careers in power generation, power transmission and distribution, renewable energy systems, electrical machines, power system operation and planning, industrial automation, smart grid technologies, and energy management systems. The curriculum includes core subjects such as circuit analysis, power systems, control systems, electrical machines, and renewable energy, along with emerging technologies like Artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) and smart grids. Students gain practical experience through laboratory work, simulations, and industry-oriented projects that enhance their analytical and problem-solving skills.
The program also incorporates programming, embedded systems, and artificial intelligence applications to meet modern industry requirements. Eligibility:
For admission to the first year of B.Tech., candidates must have passed the Intermediate Examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Computer Science subjects.
The candidate has obtained: Minimum 45% marks(40 % for reserved categories) in the above subjects taken together.
